Not taking things seriously

I was fiddling around with my guitar a few days ago, and ended up with a little tune that made me laugh.

I'm not sure why, but then I laugh at a lot of things.

Anyway, I recorded it, chopped it up to fix my terrible timing and turned it into a complete little track.

You can download it as an ogg file or an mp3 file.

See if you find it as funny as I did.

The guys in my IT department love it. We're Texans, country fans, musicians, and one of us is a Linux lover. You did good. The Jamacan (sp?) beat is classic. You just need a good steel guitar patch and a Budweiser and you'd be 100% there.

I remember visiting Texas and hearing that 'Best country and western song ever' track.

I loved it, but never heard it back in Blighty.

Huro...

The music is good... I didn't find it fantastically amusing but then again maybe I'm missing something... I'm liking the sounds of 'Something funny' and 'Creamcheese'...

You can check out my tracks here here if you like; going to do the whole F/OSS approach thing after my next mini-release around the end of this year...

I hate writing these "about me" things. How do you strike a balance between self obsessed and self loathing?
